Happy Monday! Sheep had a great start to the season this weekend with a well attended Big Training Weekend. Despite the more-than-a-little-bit-soggy conditions (on Saturday at least), we got in some solid work across both days, and it was great to see everyone from veterans to first timers nailing some of those drill concepts during games! The training was, as usual, accompanied by a great social on Saturday night, this time at Ziferblat in the Northern Quarter. Cake was eaten, rivalries were formed and Michael Sharp drank an unholy amount of fruit tea.

Has this weekend inspired you to work on your running form, improve your vertical or reduce your risk of injury? Get yourself down to fitness this Tuesday, 19.00 – 20.30 at Albert Park, Salford. Our next training will be this coming Saturday (14th), 10.00 – 13.00 in Fog Lane Park, Didsbury. This will be for both the Mixed team and Juniors. We are looking to establish a Juniors team this season, so if you do know anyone under 20 who would be interested, please put them in touch with us! Juniors (or their parents) can contact the committee via blacksheepultimate@gmail.com.

As outlined at the BTW and at the AGM, attendance criteria for Tour squads is changing this year. A document with further explanation will be circulated later this week, but in short: players interested in Tour should be trying to make as many Big Training Weekends as possible. If this will be a problem for you with regards to work, please let us know! 🙂
